Travis grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and graduated from Florida State University in 2012 with a bachelor’s degree in exercise science. Upon graduation he decided to pursue his passion in the sports medicine and fitness industry with study in Physical Therapy. Travis attended physical therapy school at University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences where he participated in elective classes in advanced orthopedics and manual therapy. He completed his Doctor of Physical Therapy and became a board-certified physical therapist in 2014.
Since graduation in 2014, his clinical focus has been in outpatient orthopedics, myofascial pain, and sports medicine. He works with patients of all ages with specialty focus in rehabilitation and performance in running and endurance sports; return to overhead lifting and throwing; conservative/post-operative surgical management of hip, knee, and ankle injuries; gait/balance abnormality; cervical and temporomandibular joint dysfunction; chronic pain patients; and vestibular rehabilitation through referral source and utilizing direct access in state of Georgia.
Travis completed his postgraduate Manual Therapy Certification from University of St. Augustine in 2017 which focused on myofascial manipulation, joint mobilizations, and biomechanics of the spine, shoulder, elbow, wrist, hip, knee, and ankle. Travis became a Board Certified Orthopedic Specialist in 2020 with American Board of Physical Therapy Specialty Section of the American Physical Therapy Association. His clinical approach incorporates evidence-based practice, progressive clinical expertise, and patient preferences.
When not treating patients, Travis enjoys music, running, cycling, hiking, camping, and exploring new sights in North Georgia. He also enjoys watching Florida State during football season, checking out new restaurants in Atlanta, traveling to new cities, and visiting the beach every chance he gets.
